Naperville is located in DuPage County, Illinois, USA.
Part of the city extends in the Will County as well. The fifth
largest city in the State, Naperville is also known as wealthiest
city in the country owing to the high per household income and
exceptional homesteads that pepper the whole area.

This city is also well known for the quality
of schools it runs as the News and World Report classified
these to be among the top three percent schools in the
country.
Until the mid 90s Naperville was just a simple farming
town when high profile companies such Lucent Technologies,
BP North American Chemical and Tellabs attracted a huge
influx of highly paid professionals.
Last but not the least, Naperville nabbed the second
best place to live in USA in the survey conducted by CNN
& Money Magazine in 2006. |
Naperville has a population of about 150 thousand people
(approx. 100 thousand living in the DuPage County while the rest
live in the Will County) with a density of about 4000 people per
square mile.
The race mix in the city consists of about 80 percent white
people, about 14 percent Asians, about 4 percent black and the
rest comprising of Native Americans and others. Only about 60
percent of the total population subscribe to religious beliefs out
of which about 40% are Catholics, about 13% Protestants and the
remaining people are Jews, Eastern faith followers and Muslim.
The economy of this city has been and continues to be on the
upswing ever since the hi-tech companies have established their
presence in the city. The job growth over the next decade is
projected to be about 22% which is exceptionally good. The income
per household in Naperville is about US $100 thousand which is
outstanding by any standards. The cost of living in the city is
about 27% more than an average US city.
Despite the excellent income an average home is quite
affordable at about US $500 thousand. It is not surprising then to
find that less than 20% of the residents of this city choose to
live in rented accommodations while the rest own their homes.If

Magazine in 2006.
The climate in Naperville is wonderful with 189 sunny days per
year and a comfort index (based on the humidity factors in summer)
of 43 as against the average US of 44. The highest temperature
recorded in Naperville was about 86 degrees while the lowest was
about 14 degrees (recorded in January).
